Head of Development

     Cheryl Meyer leads the development of Northgrave's horror slate, drawing on her years in production and writers rooms to shape original high-concept horrors that maximize entertainment and value. As an award-winning Canadian writer/producer, her work spans elevated horror and psychological thrillers with critical and commercial impact. She earned the 2025 Canadian Screen Award for Best Writing, was named Playback Magazine's Ten to Watch (2024), and reached #1 on Hulu with Carved, following its Best Horror Comedy win at Nightmares Film Festival.

Her dystopian thriller All the Lost Ones, starring Devon Sawa, received a theatrical release, was featured on The New York Times "What to Watch," and won Best Writing and Best Narrative Feature at the Vancouver Horror Show, while her debut feature The Last Mark was a TIFF Industry Select. Her psychological thriller script Invalid was selected for the Wscripted Cannes Screenplay List, and her recent honors include the STARZ #TakeTheLead Award and the Loreen Arbus Foundation Fellowship—underscoring a voice that consistently delivers bold, authored genre storytelling with mainstream reach. With over twenty years experience and having worked on both sides of the camera, in development and post-production, Meyer is a multi-faceted storyteller who knows how to take an idea from concept to market. She understands a film's success continues beyond execution into its marketing and promotion.

     In his role as Head of Production at Northgrave Pictures, Justin Harding combines technical expertise with a clear passion for producing consistently high quality horror. Harding's a Toronto-based, multi-award-winning director, writer, and producer whose work blends visceral practical effects, original creature design, and relentless genre tension.

His breakout feature Carved—expanded from the inaugural Huluween-winning short—released on Hulu and rolled out internationally on Disney+, cementing a rare short-to-feature success story. Harding has written and directed premium episodic horror for Max on Urban Legend and The Haunted Museum under Eli Roth's producing banner, served as Second-Unit Director on the studio feature Thanksgiving, and previously co-wrote/co-directed the indie feature Making Monsters for Samuel Goldwyn Films. A DGC-listed filmmaker and co-founder of Bokeh Studios, Harding has amassed 50+ festival awards and a reputation for delivering bold, cinematic horror with mainstream reach.
